Vacation - Time to get caught up with reading!

After Wednesday, I will be on vacation!  That means lots of time to get caught up on things around here!  But the main thing on my list is to get caught up on my B90 Days reading.  So next Monday I plan to be close to caught up, and the next week I hope to be with the group!  Keep your fingers crossed and pray for me.  Talk soon!  Honey

Still Reading!

Hi Everyone!  I'm checking in this week to give you the status on my Bible 90 Days reading.  I'm still NOT caught up, but still pushing forward.  I know I will be caught up in the next 3 weeks.  I will have some time off work, which will make a good time for some dedicated reading!  I'm looking forward to that.

I wasn't able to check in last week because we were having storms here, and our lights were off.  When they finally came back on, after about an hour, the internet never came back on.  So a repair visit was required, and now we are up and working.  But earlier, our lights went off again!  But only for a minute.  When you live way off the road, the least little wind can cause your lights to blink.

Talk to y'all next week!  Honey

Closer Still - B90 Days

Yeah!  Welcome to Bama Cooking!  I'm Honey, and I just realized that I have made progress this week in my Bible in 90 Days reading.  Today I am at Day 29.  Yeah for me.

Places I have been reading are:  The bathtub (until I fall asleep), in bed, at my kitchen table, in traffic, and in my office parking lot if I get to work early.  I have also taken my reading with me when I show rental houses, in case I have to wait for someone.

Hope everyone's week is going well.  Mine is.  That's all for today.  Love, Honey

Busy week - Still Striving - B90 days

Hi Ladies,

Welcome to Bama Cooking.  We are having a busy week here.  I feel like there are so many friends, family, and acquaintances that I need to carry to my Lord in prayer.  One person I am close to found out her father has cancer.  Some friends from church are relocating to Houston because his job on the arsenal ended.  Others we know are struggling with cancer and other illnesses.  I am praising God that my family is well and safe.  When your children are over 18, you really can't do anything about how they live their lives.  I'm so thankful that we have no real drama going on in our life at the moment.  I really struggle with feeling personally responsible for the choices my children make.

We are going through a lot of changes in the coming months.  And it is closer than I'm ready to face.  So I just try to pray continually that I will know the plans my Lord has in store for me.  I want to be able to recognise His path when the time comes!  I'm struggling with where I should be going at this time in my life.

I am making progess in my B90 day reading.  If I'm not caught up by the end of the month, I will have time to get there when we are on vacation.  So I will be on time finishing with the group.  Thanks to everyone who has prayed or sent encouragement to me.

I hope your day and week are going well.  If you have prayer needs, please let me know, and I will be glad to pray over them with you.  Love, Honey
